speedo tube question

Anyone know if the speedo pick up on lower unit is a straight line conection to rubber tube or a 90 degree, i have been trying to un-clog one on a 1993 proV 150, ive tried compressed air and running a wire down tube but the obstruction is at the lower unit end, i have used a small bit to clean out the pickup, drill bit will go in about an inch, i didnt want to go any farther with out some guidance. i was getting out a white substance possibly corrosion. thanks for any insight.

been there done that.
must use a drill bit to drag out the old gunk.
keep spinning the bit by hand eventually you'll free up the salt build up in side and the water will drip down from above.
Yes its a 90 degree once you get inside but you won't do any damage drilling by hand.
