hpdi injector gaskets

when you reinstall injectors, there are the two gaskets that mate the injector to the cylinder head. There is a flat washer on one side, the other has nothing, do you mate the two flat washers together or do they oppose each other?

dont have a manual?
however its critical that the two gasket surfaces face the correct way.
the manual shows an illustration.
service manuals are so much better than memory.
use one.

I have a manual - it didn't say or show, luckily I hadn't thrown out the trash and got the old ones and looked them over, the flat washers oppose each other, which is what I thought, just was looking for confirmation - which manual do you guys use?
