200 hpdi power head removel

how difficult and how long should it take to remove the power head 2002 HPDI. I have to replace the mid section as it is cracked.

Yea, right.

For the rest of us mortals figure a day, maybe a couple depending on how rusted the bolts are. Remember a guy removing a stuck Rude powerhead. Had a chain-fall on the motor and the motor, boat, & trailer where all off the ground. Soaked everything and went to bed that way. Woke up the next day and the powerhead finally released in the middle of the night.

later model yamaha stuff doesnt seem to stick as bad.
however I have cut off my share of merc,omc,yamaha and tohatsu shafts and power head mounting bolts.
