New future Yamaha owner

Hello,
I'm in the buying process now.
I'm looking at a Craigslist ad at what I believe is a 2 stroke, '94 model 40hp, remote steer, with tilt and trim.

1994 Yamaha 40hp, power Tilt/Trim, remote control with cables

It has a chewed up prop but looks clean otherwise.
The guy sent quite a few pics including him taking a compression test.
It shows about 120 psi in both cylinders.
Is that good?
Is there anything in particular I should look for on this motor?

Can someone tell me what is good compression for this motor?
I have no idea and I'm fixing to drop a good bit of money.
I don't know what compression ratio they are.

no factory numbers.
should be within 10 psi of each other.
never saw an internet motor worth haveing.
pre 1995 motors used in saltwater areas tened to have corroded shift shafts.

Ok well it seems like the motor has good compression.
The rest of it looks clean enough. It's been in the hill country of central Texas so I don't think it's been around salt water. I think I'm going after it this weekend.
Question:
Where do I get the steering arm for it? (not tiller arm) For remote steering.
There is a "tab" on the front for the steering arm to connect to.
You know, the steering cable assembly goes through the tube in the mounting bracket and connects to the steering arm that in turn connects to that tab.
It doesn't seem to be part of any steering kits.
The Yamaha web site only seems to have info on new motors.

yes.
I found a tiller handle.
I found exploded views.
It's like they don't consider the steering arm as a Yamaha part?

Post your model # just to make sure it is a 1994
Here is a link to 1995 and up steering arm, I think that is the part you are looking for, but it is not listed for 1994 63D-61351-00-00 YAMAHA ROD,STEERING LINK $69.68

And here is for 1 for 1993 , seems they do not list a 1994 40

Might look at a different parts site like Yamaha itsrlf to see what the correct part # should be for a 94 if that is what you have

Well it turns out the PO does have the steering arm. I just couldn't see it in the pics.

motor runs grate has new fuel pump and carbs rebult
lower unit in grate shape
motor does have its nicks and scratches but is a good clean motor
comes with side mount control box

Mounting bolt size?

does anyone know what diameter bolts I should take to mount the motor on my transom?
It doesn't have clamping screws.
The seller doesn't know and it's a 31/2 hour drive to where the motor is.
