I've been having some idling issues with my C40, so I pulled the carbs this weekend for a cleaning and rebuild. While I was removing them, I noticed some strange materials embedded in the potting compound on the back side of the electronic module (module located on starboard side of engine). I can't imagine that this material came from the factory, but I have no clue what it could be. Any ideas?

start digging it and you may also get to do a wallet dig.
quit fussing with stuff and buy a manual.
sometimes technician induced faults can get expensive.

And if that's potting compound, I'm worried about what other low quality items/suppliers Yamaha chose to use.
