  • parts to convert F50 to F60 or F50 to F70

    Hi all,

    I am a really happy owner of a yamaha F50 2006
and I want to upgrade to F60 or F70 since they share the same block.

does some one ownes an F50 that did this kind of modification?

any mechanic that can share some knowledge about this?

    regards!

while I have no idea on this particular model, it is usually not as easy as it seems, lots of engines share a common block "family" but to convert one to the next HP can be very expensive, and is often not worth the trouble, that being said, it is "sometimes" easily done, parts that can be different to give the higher HP can be camshaft, pistons, valves, computer, induction system, exhaust, heads, etc, etc. . . .

the case you describe is the F50 to F70 that change pretty much
everything from head and camshaft but I want to know the costs!

on the otherhand the f50 with f60 is almost identical except the
special restrictor on the intake of the F50 and the ECU or not?

      regards!
