Trim sender

Will trim sender ( 6H1-83672-10) from a 1988 90ETLG be possible to use on a 1987 90ETLH. (trim sender on this is 6E5-83672-01 with 4 wires) I have digital yamaha tacho and need to have a trim sender with 3 wires to get the trim indicator to work, after what I unterstand. Or other yamaha trimsender with 2 or 3 wires?
