Is it possible to use the Yamaha chamber cleaner on muffs in the drive way, or does it have to be done while running on the water? My 2 stroke is only 20 months old and average use is about once a month. Am I jumping the gun in even doing this now? It's just that this motor looks and runs like new and I am fanatical about keeping it that way. Any advice? Thanks, Baldy Locks.

I think the best you can do is prevent the carbon from forming by continual use of Yamaha Ringfree at "deposit preventive" dosage. Then, ever so often, if it makes you feel better, run a tank of fuel through the motor with the Ringfree at "deposit removal" dosage. I also use the Pennzoil 100% Synthetic Outboard Motor Oil....maybe it produces less carbon and smoke.
