2002 f115

I have been trying to ascertain if I can hook up my 2002 F115 to a NMEA network on my HDS 8.

Mainly I'm after fuel flow data.

I have done a search here but couldn't come up with an answer.

I have also asked the same question on THT but have not been able to get a clear answer.

I know it's prior to being able to use command link gauges but I'm try to see if I use the diagnostic plus will it work ? If so what part no do I need.

If you are looking to hook it up to the NMEA 2000 connection, no you can not. It has to be 2006 or later. Although I have heard that some motors made in late 2005 were setup for NMEA 2K.

your 02 model wont give flow data and is not nema compatible.

Looks like I need to get the paddle wheel set up either Yamaha or Lowrance ( Lowrance also needs "a storage device in the network ) to get fuel flow data.
