  • Flushing and/or idleing in a barrel

OK, does anyone know how much water the leg needs to be in before the pisser starts to send out water?

That is, how deep does the water need to be?

    Thanks

    To add info...

I have a 2011 model f150 and I am trying to rig something that will allow me to run the motor every few weeks for 10-15 minutes... during the off-season.

I use the motor's built-in hose connection to flush after each use but I need to hook something up that will allow me to run it while it sits on the traile in my yard. Not having any luck getting the pisser to work when using ear muffs so am trying the barrel route.

    Thanks

Fill barrel to at least above water inlets under ventilation plate, but higher is better since some water will be lost while running...in fact, not a bad idea to leave the hose running in barrel while running motor to be sure of plenty.
