I have recently removed twin 1993 130's from a boat. I want to use one of them on another boat. It has a dual 704 control. They look like 2 singles bolted together. Does anyone know if I can separate them and use the one with the trim switch on the handle as a single? If it will work like that can I just get a black plastic cover from a single 704 to use with it since I can not use the double cover?. All of the electrical connects just unplugged so I can reuse them.
My other option would be to try an sell the double and have to buy a single for the new application.
