Stainless Shift Rod P/N

I have two motors that I need to replace the shift shafts on, a 1986 220HP V6 Special and a 1991 225HP. Both are 25" legs.

The part number shown for both is 6E5-44120-02-00 but is this for a steel shaft or are they now all S.S.?

If they are steel then what part number do I order for a stainless version?

you might want to do some searching for a after market shift shaft that is 2 piece and you do not need to remove power head to install
