I have a 2001 225 OX 66 and am having trouble replacing the ram trim seals. I have removed the entire ram, but really don't know what to do next. It looks like the bottom of the unit with the springs somehow must unscrew. If anyone has done this before, please advise.

I did take the end plate off with the springs and check valves, that end looks like it is one piece, looks like the top of the valve may be screwed onto the ram itself but I'm not sure and don't want to mess it up. I am trying to replace the seals in the screw cap, and find it hard to believe that yamaha would make it this difficult.
