If I have the red valve in normal or closed it won't idle. However when its open it will idle a little rough though and it will only run up to 4000 rpm. If I am running and get the rpms above 2000 with it open then switch it to normal or closed I get full power out of the motor right around 5500 rpms. I have rebuild and cleaned the carbs twice now and still haven't solved the problem. Any help is appreciated.

you still have fuel issues.
open bypass's the enrichment valve making it rich.
closed shuts off ALL enrichment making it lean.
have you had the pilot air jets out?
have you checked the diaphram and oring for the prime start pump?
that prime start is an actual pulse pump driven off #2 cylinder. -
I haven't taken the prime start pump apart yet to check it out I guess that should be my next move. I have had the pilot air jets out and replaced themComment
