1990 yamaha waverunner 650

My 1990 wave runner lacks power is hard to start and wont reach high rpm, cylinder compression is @ 130 psi and i put a carb kit in it if you back off on the throttle it picks up a bit and is less slugish idles fine any ideas ??

Recheck carb, sounds like running too rich at high speed.

OK thanks but not sure wich is high speed jet and wich way to turn ( in or out ) for leaner mix i reset jets to original settings all were set at the usual turn - turn and half within a qurter turn could fuel pump be a problem? also hard to start

If know where they were put them back to original setting, fuel pump or carb assembled wrong could cause it.
