Hit a rock on Saturday. Chipped the skeg. Prop is fine, no dings. Shaft does not wobble.
I shut the motor down right after the hit. Fires back up but will now not go over 1,000 rpm's. Marina mechanic told me it was the VST. I cleaned it (getting good at it since ethanol) with no improvement.
What's next to check?
