Yamaha 60 inj. 2 stroke smoking and overheat alarm

    Engine is pushing a lot of smoke at idle and full throttle

    any suggestions

    so what about the overheat alarm? I would be looking at that before I worried about smoke!

      I dont think its actually overheating but I am monitoring it.

      What would be causing it to smoke . carb . setting . linkage. fuel line air leakage.

      I have made sure all fuel line connections are tight.

      Would getting water in the bottom carb make it smoke. as I did find quite a bit of water present under the engine cover.

        I think you need to follow up with the overheating issue 1st as suggested. You could have issues with a blown head gasket and the smoke is more of a water/steam issue...Run a compression check, that will tell you alot.
