I posted a question a couple of days ago wondering what the difference is in the stator for the yamaha V4 and V6 yamaha 1988.
I got no answer on that one.
but,I have been investigating, and is it true that that the stator output for charging the batteries on a 1988 yamaha outboard is minimal? like 8 to 10 amps or so?
I found out that my 150 hp yamaha 1988 charges the battery,,but 12.80 volts at over 3000 rpm.there are no shorts in the system,,the stator is good, and also the regulator.
is there any way to update this charing amps with another stator from another year?
cheers
