98 yamaha 200 sw series 2 no spark

Good morning. Last night I tried to take the boat out for a sun set cruise and engine wouldn't start. We looked at everything and nailed it down to no spark at the spark plugs. My friend has a spark tester and nothing would happen. He even put his finger in the hole where the connection to the spark plug holder is and told me tp start her up knowing he wouldn't get shocked. Engine is rebuilt, new throttle control was put on a week ago by yamaha, where or what do you think the problem could be from.?

That's what my friend said. We tried to tinker with it by making sure the plug was pulled out and still nothing. He thinks it may be inside wiring?

Might try disconnecting white wire at CDI to see if spark come back .

If it does the key switch,kill switch, or wiring would be problem.

If it does not come back you will need to start testing charge and pulser coil out puts, if this motor has them

When your Yamaha guys put that new throttle control on, maybe left a wire loose or bad connection in the throttle control box?..
