I need to replace the key switch panel for my 2003 Yamaha 150TXRB. The part # is 704-82570-XX-XX. I am not certain what Yamaha's logic is on their part #'s. Are the last 4 digits a model year #, series #, # of pins in the plug? The current switch has an 8 pin plug. Thank you.

The main switch assembly is is 704-82570-08-00
the switch by itself is 704-82510-07-00
the panel by itself is 704-82571-02-00
and the lanyard is 682-82556-00-00
the first three digits refer to the engine or equipment it was originally created for. 704 being a binnicle control seperate key switch panel.
the next 5 is the part number
the next 2 is the supersession chain
the last 2 are for paint codes and special characters,
such as paint, 4d or 8d being the last to digits.
