Howdy.
We bought a used boat and have noticed the tilt trim is intermitent, and also when under 50%+ speed in the water- it doesn't have enough force to trim the motor. If I am going slow, it will trim it ok. I trimmed it 2 days ago and it held trim under load (as I slowly powered out of mud flat).
It will tilt all the way up when on the trailer, then most of the time - slowly bleeds down. On occassion, it doesn't seem to bled down - but may be doing so slowly (I usually tilt up, put the little support ears down - so I rarely have tilted it up and left it for any period of time) I haven't seen any leaks - but they are possible.
Should I begin by checking fluid level? Any advice on this process. Likely cluprits?
Thanks
Steve
