Anyone have any experience with a 4 blade 15 or 17 pitch on a 115 four stroke? Aluminum or SS?
I have an '02 four stroke 115 on an '02 Cresliner Sportfish walkthrough. Most of my use is fishing and I have a 13" 21 pitch and a 13" 19 pitch prop. I mostly use the 19 pitch and it will run up to 6000 rpm and 37 mph GPS. The 21 pitch gets the same top speed but only pulls 5400 rpm and takes a while to get there. My kids like to wake board and the 19 pitch will pull them out fine, but I am an old slalom skier so I picked up a nice ski, but getting out of the water takes it all out of me, so not much fun once up. I am wondering if a 4 blade prop of 15 or 17 pitch would give me a better hole shot and power to pull a skier out without dragging them 30 yards first. Wondering if someone has tried a similar set up.
