I just bought a jon boat with this engine on the back and cant find any info on it. Can anyone help? I think its a 87 but not sure it could be a 89. Thanks.

We need the model # from the ID plate. It will start with 30 for 30HP, and the last letter will be a code for the model year. -

I think that motor was mfg for overseas - use the directory link above and look up "colossus" - he has some kind of Yamaha data base that has all s/n listed - maybe he can help you - try his email.
