I am trying to rig my yamaha 704 controls that used to be matched to an older '97 OX66 225 to a 2004 Mercury 225 Fourstroke, which I am told is a rebadged Yamaha F225?!
Round 10 pole harness plugs in, motor starts, gauges appear to work, trim works, but cable rigging is different. OX66 had push throttle, Mercury has pull throttle. Cannot identify placeholder for cables.
I also have coming from the controls a female 4-pole plug with with orange, black, pink & grey wires, as well as a male 4-pole plug with only 2 wires green & green/red,or brown stripe.
No idea what they are for. Mercury 225 fourstroke has a couple of terminated plugs, that would fit.
How do I go about making this work? Any insight, schematics, images would be appreciated.
