2006 150 hpdi injector pump

I got a hold of a 2006 150 hpdi that a guy quit using about 3 1/2 years ago. He didn't winterized it or drained the fuel, just put it away. Took it to a Yamaha dealer and they want $3200.00 (to start) to get it running - gave me a whole long list of stuff that needs to be replaced. The big ticket item is the injector pump. Anyone know of any way to clean the injector pump so I can see if it's still good? All the other stuff is pretty easy (low pressure fuel pumps, filters, impeller). I figure about anything is worth a try before I buy a new one.
