  • F15 Low or no WaterFlow

I have 2006 F15. At idle I noticed that I had almost not Water Flow through the motor, but at any throttle position higher than idle I have plently of water flow at the tell tail. I replaced the water pump and it did not improve. (old one look just fine). Any other suggestions. Motor was used in Salt water prior to me purchasing it, but the passages in the motor seem to be fine.

Don't understand why the water flow would be low. Is the idle real low? Either way I would think as long as there is water moving through the water jackets and it is staying cool enough you should be fine.

When you come off of Throttle the flow out the tail tell stops completetly or just dribbles out. I did try turning up the idle, but that really didnt help. I ened up with a really high idle and not much inprovement. I have done some dissasembly of the lower end, and I have a question or two.

Is water supposed to come out the other places besides the water pump tube. I hooked up my hose to the flushing connection and allow the water to flow through and only a small portion of the flow come out the water pump pipe. I can put my finger over the water pump pipe and it does not pressurize the pipe, just seams to flow other places.

Did you put in a kit or just the impeller?
Housing may need replacing if it has problems also

Maybe remove/inspect/clean/replace thermostat and pressure control valve?

I ended up taking to a shop, they flushed out all the lines, and check the thermostat and said everything was good. I was a little sceptical because I had check the passages already. So I tested it and has the same problem still after spending 130$. I call them back to took it in and the mechanic said everything is fine and doesnt know what is wrong. He said if I leave it he will only replace the impeller again saying it might be defective. Frustrated and still broken motor!!!
