Digital Tachometer Interchangeability?

Will a 2004 4 stroke Digital Tach fit and work on my 1994 2 stroke 250? Will the warning lights blink (oil low)? I can get a good deal on one if it will work OK.

the tach will work, you will have to change the dip switches in the back for 2 stroke, also you will need the double ended oil/trim harness for the warning lights to work, also you will need adapter harness. i believe your engine has the round green connectors, and the newer tach uses the natural square 4 pin connectors.

Fortunately, I have the square end connections in the boat already, so I'm hoping it's a plug and play... Thanks!
