  • multifunction tachometers

New in the forum, based in Puerto Rico. I purchased two new tachs for my 1999 200hp saltwater series Yamahas. The plugs are different than the ones i have from the engine.
On the other hand, i believe that the plugs are for the trim indicator and for the oil indicator.
If that is the case, and that would be question 1, would the tach works if I connect the green, yellow, blue and red cables?
I don't have the VRO working and i don't need the trim indicator working.
    Thanks in advance!!

all you need for the tach to work is from the main harness at the keyswitch, hook the yellow(key on Power) Green (tach lead) and the black (ground), if you want the back light to come on with the key, hook the blue wire from the gauge light to the yellow key on power wire.
