2009 yamaha tlr 70hp whole motor kicking up when put into reverse

I have a 2009 yamaha 70 hp 2 stroke that is making a pounding noise going into reverse, thinking first that it was a gear problem, but i noticed that when i put it into reverse that the whole motor would jump reward and pound coming back to position like there is slack in the trim linkage, if this makes sense? Any thoughts on what might be causing this???? P. S. , it is not moving at all at the transom

Most likely you have air in the T and T system. Does the motor trim in when you're in forward gear? If so, bleed the T and T system and check for leaks.

Thank you for the quick reply, yes sir, it does trim up and down like is should in forward and reverse, standing still or running, can you tell me the proper way to bleed the system?

Grab the motor and shake it back and forth with your hands while looking to see what is loose.
Might be your rubber motor mounts have broken
