  • OIL LEAK in up position

I have a "new to me" boat with twin 2001 200HP HPDI engines and I have noticed when they are left overnight in the up position there is a pool of oil left in the motorwell. Any help or direction appreciated

Check to see if air silencer drain hose at bottom of silencer is connected.

Make sure that the arrows on the cap and on on the engine mounted oil tank are lined up. If they are not you will have oil in the cowling. Exact same issue happened to me. Lined up the arrows and no more leak. I know it's weird but it worked.

I have the same motor and, although I never get oil in the splashwell, when I remove the air silencer (the black plastic cover on the throttle body and easy to remove with 7/8 screws) I invariably have some oil that pools on the bottom rim of the lowest intake. It's been that way for the 5 years I've had it and both hoses are connected to the air silencer. Have you checked yours to see if you have the same condition?
