Yamaha F225....is this normal?

Heads up. I have just purchased this boat so I have no real history of the boat other than the obvious. The boat is being kept temporarily on a dock so in order to keep the leg out of the water, I have tilted my pair of F225's to max (all the way up). The boat normally stands in dry stack or trailer so I had not tilted it all they way up before. Today when I went to check on the boat in the dock, I noticed engine oil in the transom of my Wellcraft 270 Coastal On inspection, the oil was leaking out of the cowling where the cables enters the engine via the thick black protective hose. I traced it back further to the engine oil dipstick. Now I'm not sure if the dipstick had been pushed all the way home by whomever checked the oil last. The level is now just under half way between the Hi and Lo mark. Upon inspecting the Stbd engine I noticed that the oil is closer to the Hi (full mark) so I'm assuming who ever topped up the oil made sure they filled it pretty well. Is this "normal" or should I say "happened to anyone else"? These motors do seem to tilt high leaving the engine block sitting at a pretty steep angle

you want the oil level between the low and full marks.
yes we have seen the odd leak at the dipstick.
usually its oil vapors trapped in the air box leaking out.
the crankcase is vented to the airbox, oil vapors condense and when tilted it leaks out the seam in the molded plastic airbox.
boats that stay on a lift never see it,until one day the engines are tilted.

Thanks Rodbolt17. This oil leaked out of the dipstick. Unfortunately when I took the dipstick out I cannot recall if it was pressed all the way down. I'm thinking maybe it was not properly seated home? Just so that I understand. The oil level should be HALFWAY between low and full marks? Looking at the Stbd engine the oil level is showing about 2/3 (certainly way more than halfway) to the full level mark on the dipstick. I got quite a fright when I saw the oil in the motor well and since this boat is all new to me (my previous boat had a F100 on) I'm just wanting to make sure that it's not a bigger issue

The engine (both of them) runs beautifully, smooth and quiet but as soon as I get it back on the rack both engines will have a full service. I did the impellers just before she went back in the water and even checked for exhaust corrosion and all looks good.
