I'm trying to troubleshoot my trim system and am sort of confused on something. Are the trim "sender" and trim "sensor" the same thing? My manual refers to a trim sensor, but the only part that I can find on the boats.net parts list is a trim sender 6H1-83672-10-00. The manual is sort of vague on this item. As for troubleshooting, the relay and switches are fine and test out in spec. I'm going to test the motor, using the procedure listed in my manual, this coming weekend. It looks like to me the only other item could be the sender, or sensor, or the whatever. BTW the symptom is that when the switch is engaged all that I get is a click from the relay and nothing from the motor. I suspect the motor is bad, but I've learned some expensive lessons about "assumptions" without testing.
