Hi,
Just bought a brand new 2011 Yamaha F115 from an US seller (I´m based outside the US). The seller is not an official Yamaha dealer but a generic reseller that got the outboard through a private auction.
The outboard is at Customs in my home country and I can´t clear it because the officers require a CO2 Emissions Certificate. I´m unfamiliar with this piece of paper and can´t claim it back from reseller since he didn´t have one. I guess I can´t request this from an official dealer neither for obvious reasons. There is a 3-Star California C.A.R.B. (Very Low Emissions) sticker on the outboard cowling but I´d still need to provide Custom Officers with sort of an emissions certificate.
I have no idea how this piece of paper looks like and would much appreciate any help or tips. Not sure if I can claim this doc directly from Yamaha?
Thank you much in advance!
PS: I know now that the easiest way would have been to buy directly from an official dealer but there is none in my country. Apparently US dealers do not offer warranty for exports to my home country...
