I had to reposition the weight in the boat so I moved the gas tank and I have to run a 10 foot 5/16 fuel line. Question: Is 10 foot too long for a mechanical pump and where should I put the bubble, closer to the motor or the tank? This is for a 90 Yamaha.

No 10ft is not too long. Position the primer bulb 2 to 4 feet away from the engine.
