I have a 2002 T9.9 used as a kicker,my boat is located out of state from me, I have battery chargers connected when I leave boat so the next use the batteries are topped off, when using the kicker motor on fully charged batteries it starts to over charge the batteries unless I add a load to the system, can I unhook the charging lead from the rectifier on this motor with out hurting anything like the diodes?

Make sure battery cable connections are clean and tight. If want to disconnect it then disconnect green wires from stator to rectifier.
