  • Fuel Raining in my Cowling T50TLRX

Thanks in advance for any help; I purchased a motor which had been sitting for at least a year with the Carbs off, and the timing belt removed; I set the timing and removed the lower bowls on all 4 carbs, cleaned both jets and (1) stuck float valve; re-assembled and motor ran for aprox 15 seconds; looked at cowling and fuel is everywhere, if I pump the bulb fuel drips down; can't seem to locate from where; although, I was frustrated and called it quits for the evening. I am thinking it has to be leaking from before the fuel even gets to the carbs, wish I'd of tore the carbs compleatly down now; any thoughts????.....Thanks

Could be carbs flooding, float valve not seating but not sure without knowing where leak is.

First thing I'd do is disconnect the battery and find a fire extenguisher to keep handy, then find the fuel leak...and be thankful there was no fire! Good Luck!
