Clamping Screw Thread Size

Hello, I have a 50 hp 2 stroke TLRZ Yamaha. I am ready to mount onto my boat but am having trouble with the thread size of the clamping screw. I ordered the clamping screw from Yamaha but found out this was for the MH model, if I am correct. The thread size for mine is 9/16", and the screw sent is 1/2".I could just look for a bolt the 9/16" size, but would like to hear from the more knowledgable ones first. Thanks, Mike

most do not use the clamp,
just bolt on at proper height

Yamaha 50 TLRZ

Spoke to a Yamaha Tech and he said the same thing. Just use bolts to mount the outboard, which is what I will do.
