Another question: Since I don't have time to remove the carb right now and clean it, in the meantime, if I want to run a cleaner through the carb to try and help the situation can I use regular automotive carb cleaner?

Hello tmjb,

If you are talking about spraying directly into the throat of the carb ..... that really won't do much good, if any.

You really need to remove/rebuild your carb ..... it only takes about an hour.
