Hello All,
I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping someone can give some advice to a complete novice. I recently purchased via eBay, a Yamaha outboard engine, 40hp, 2 stroke, autolube, electric start for probably more than I should have done. I think it's a 1996 model and it's destined for a boat I was given last year, which has been sitting in my garage and hasn't even seen so much as seen a river.
I picked the motor up today and it has come without a con*****er. Can anyone confirm whether this Yamaha 703 con*****er is compatible or if it isn't, suggest one that is.

Also, assuming the engine is sound what leads do I need to connect the con*****er and the engine.
