  • Dead Battery "Reset?"

I have a 115 Jet Drive and had a dead battery today on the water. I tried to jump it with my Deep Cycle but couldn't get it to crank over. Then, I had no power at all to the motor (couldn't get it to crank or engine to trim). I bypassed the fuse and still no sign of life. This was only my second time out. I've charged the battery and no sign of life. Is there a reset? What do I do to get power to the engine? Thanks

    no reset.
you either have a bad connection, dead battery or bad cables.
could be a bad fuse or fuse connection.
time to break out the multi meter.

probably is a cable or something, but may also be the battery.

I had a battery that worked great all last season and then all of a sudden wouldnt take/hold any charge whatsoever. something must have shorted inside or something. Dont rule out battery anyway.

I had the same issue last summer....turned out to be bad connections where the battery cables joined the connectors....corroision...cut the cables, reconnected with new connectors, no more problem...might be something to look at.
