F20 add power tilt

Hi I am planning to add power tilt to my F20 outboard motor, will 6AH-43840-01-4D the Assy Kit correct, and wonder if there other parts required

Yamaha doesn't offer a power tilt kit to install on a manual tilt model, the part number you listed is the power tilt assy but depending on what model you have you may have to change transom brackets, add trim relay and switches and possible change engine wiring harness.

Thanks for the replies, and my model was F20SEH, so will that help know if I still need to change the transom brackets?

Yes it would be a major change, the swivel bracket, clamp brackets and all hardware would have to changed, which means it would have to be completely disassembled down to swivel bracket. You can look at parts listing Bracket 1 diagram is what you have now and Bracket 2 is what you would have to change over, 2006 and Later 4-stroke F20ESH Yamaha Outboard Parts Not same model number as your motor but uses same parts as yours.
