I have a 1999 yamaha c40tlrx. I am having problems with my carbs (I think). I am not getting the rpm's or power I should be getting at full throttle. It is also burning alot more gas than usual. Also wont run at idle. The motor starts up with no problem and seems to run smooth at low speeds. I recently changed the the fuel pump and spark plugs, with no luck. Will a carb rebuild fix my problem? Somebody please help? Its rockfish season in MD!!!

It's possible the carbs need to be removed and cleaned, need to run a compression test.

If you pull and clean carbs, you more than likely do not need a kit.
I have same motor and the kit contained floats, needles and seats and most o-rings, but not all.
I would open it up see what you need before picking up parts needed. Look closely at prime start system also
