Hello everybody, I'm new in this forum. I live in Argentina, south America, and just bought a boat with a F115 (F115AETL) 2006. First of all, thank you for doing this forum, and for letting me be part of it.
My question is: my engine is 800 hours and the official yamaha technician told me I will have to replace timing belt at 1000 hours. Because is an engine I don't know, what could be the parts to change, apart from the timing belt, to be sure of no problems in the close future (a.e. lwater pump kit)? The boat spent 4 year in a sea shore, now is going to be in river water, no salt.
And do you know how to find the part number of the belt? I'm visiting the US soon and I would like to buy the parts needed, everything is more expensive over here.
