  • Max water pressure for flushing 175 outboard?

What is the maximum water pressure you can flush a Yamaha 175? I have low house water pressure which is insufficient so was going to use a water pressure unit.

Not sure never tried to max it out, since it was designed to use home water systems probably about 50 psi.

not sure what kind of water pressure unit you are speaking about, but I am thinking you need to be able to furnish enough water flow also,

On average metro houses water pressure is about 500-600 kPa or 70 to 80 Psi but i agree with 99yam40 i dont think it is about pressure but about enough water to travel through the water pump

if your using the flush muffs or the onboard flush, 100-150 psi is good.
          wide open baby.
some of the older junk, mercs, yammis and some others that used a screw in flushure you had to watch water pressure of a drive shaft seal may leak.

            Flushing water pressure

Advice much appreciated. All seems ok now with house pressure in correct orifice!
