  • 115TRLA Need tachometer wiring diagram

I am trying to troubleshoot a tach problem but can't figure out the wiring on the 115 2-stroke. The green tach wire goes to main control module. I know the voltage regulator is bad and I am replacing it but I don't understand why the tach wire is going to the control module instead of the voltage regulator. I don't work on boat motors all that much but I do know how to trace wires and read schematics. A little or lot of help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Gary

Tach gets signal from CDI on that engine.

If the tach is not working .....

If the tach is not working but the engine runs fine, would it be the pulser unit or the CDI that is bad or either. Just need to figure out where the most likely cause would be.
        Thanks

Would be wiring problem between CDI and Tach, check connections and wires or could be bad CDI.
