f60 not starting - help!

I have a 2005 F60TLRD (4 stroke), only 30 hours on this thing, bought from an old man who hardly used it. Changed the fuel, drained the tank and replaced filter, changed the spark plugs which looked 'wet' on the tips. The motor turns over but will not fire. My guess is that the motor is not getting spark...Does anyone have ANY suggestions before I take this into the shop and get overcharged for repairs? Thanks for your help!

yep is the emergency lanyard in place ?

pick up a spark tester and see if it is sparking or not.
Pick up a Yamaha service manual and a few pieces of equipment and test things like the manual tells you if there is not spark
