Could anyone tell me how hard it is to chancge the CDI unit is it just unplug and plug the new one in?

should be plug and play, but I would make sure it is the problem before spending that kind of money.
Yamaha Service manual is worth the money and helps a lot

I,ve got the manual went thru all the troubleshooting and this is what it has led me to as well. I just have never heard of something like this going wrong. I ordered one last night hope the fix is soon?
