seems unable to charge battery--is this the rectifier system not operating? Motor runs OK otherwise.

Did you put a digital voltage meter across the battery poles while the motor is running? What's it read? Should be 13-14 volts if the motor is putting out a charge. How old is the battery? Maybe it just won't accept a charge anymore.

thanks fella's---but battery is new. I even put 2 in parallel to get more power. When running volts on battery is 12.5, which is what the battery now says on its own, when motor not running. So I guess it cannot be charging--but is it likely to be the rectifier gizmo that is stopping it working properly? Nice to get g
