battery charger on a 9.9 outboard

hi can anybody tell me about the wires needed to charge a 12v battery. I have a F 9.9 HMH long shaft. I think this may be a German import thus the code could be F 9.9 "F"MH. The other letters before that code are 6CAK. I can find no regulator/rectifier or any red wire to take to the battery. There are however two green wires terminated and capped safely in a connection holder mounted on the side of the engine.

Yes the rectifier/regulator should plug into the green wires.

thank you for replying but my problem is that i dont seem to have a regulator recitifyer on this engine. can i run the green wire with in line fuse to the battery.

you need to purchase a rectifier/regulator and install it and then run wire to battery from there
