Timming belts replacement

I have (2)Yamaha Four Stroke 225HP production date 2004. I will like to know if the belts fails(breaks) in this type of engines there is intereference between the pistons and valves. My engines have only 830 hours of use. The manufacturer recomends to change belts at 1,000hours or (4) years. Should I change the belts even when they look good, not cracked? Thank you for your help and recommendations!

225 are not interference fit so should be ok for your 1000 hours with out worries . easy to do .
